Dealing with the boredom of my broken back, I stumbled across something pretty cool...

I found out a easy and cheap way to turn an iPod Touch 2G into an iPhone:

You will need:

An Ipod Touch 2G

Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic (Sold at Apple Stores for CAN$25)

iCall app (Free at the App Store)

Step#1
Access iCall on your iPod Touch. You will see a warning saying that you can't dial 911 on iCall. Continue.

Step#2
Next, you'll see 4 options: Free Trial (3 days), Total Access, Pay As You Go, and Free Calling (or something like that). Choose any one:

Free Trial - Free Calling for 3 days

Total Access - Call anywhere worldwide for a monthly fee of $9.95 and cheaper rates than Pay As You Go. Call any landline or mobile phone in Canada or US for free!

Pay As You Go - Call anywhere worldwide for no monthly fee and higher rates than Total Access. Canadian an US calls are free!

Free Calling - Call anywhere in Canada and US for free!

I chose Free Calling.

Step#3 If you chose Free calling like me Fill out the form with your Name, Postal/ZIP Code, and Country. Continue.

Step#4 Now you have to Verify your iPhone, BUT WAIT! YOU DON'T HAVE ONE! Press the verification button and it will supply you with a phone number. Call it on your CELL PHONE or HOME PHONE. It might take a few tries but eventually there should be be a message on your iPod saying that iCall is verified.

Conclusion:
Now you are ready to add contacts to the contact list and make free calls in Canada and USA! If you have a question email me: greg_hogue@hotmail.com, comment or go to "http://www.icall.com/iphone".

Or you can do what this guy did..."http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6McW9o8ETk&feature=related"
